Trail Blazers 111, Spurs 95:
Wesley Matthews scored a season-high 31 points as host Portland took advantage of stumbling San Antonio.

Damian Lillard added 18 points, seven rebounds and five assists while LaMarcus Aldridge collected 11 points and 13 boards for the Trail Blazers. Nicolas Batum contributed 15 points and nine assists as Portland improved to 24-6 at home.

Tim Duncan had 20 points on 9-of-12 shooting and eight rebounds for the Spurs, who matched their longest losing streak of the season at four straight. Danny Green scored 17 points and Kawhi Leonard chipped in 14 as San Antonio dropped to 2-5 on the nine-game rodeo road trip.

The Trail Blazers held a 79-66 lead with a minute left in the third quarter before the Spurs bridged the final two quarters with an 11-2 run to draw within four points. Matthews stopped the bleeding with a 3-pointer and Chris Kaman’s three-point play pushed the advantage back out to 95-79 as Portland took control and closed it out.

The Trail Blazers claimed a 32-16 advantage after the first quarter and led by 19 after Arron Afflalo’s 3-pointer early in the second before San Antonio finally put together some offense and pulled even at 48 before settling for a 51-50 deficit at the break. Lillard knocked down a 3-pointer to cap an 11-0 run that put Portland up 67-54 with 7:33 left in the third.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Spurs Gs Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili combined for four points on 2-of-13 shooting. … Matthews, Batum and Lillard combined to go 10-of-19 from 3-point range. … Matthews went 11-of-18 from the field after struggling to 0-of-7 in a loss to Memphis on Sunday.
