Clippers 99, Knicks 78: J.J. Redick scored 20 points and DeAndre Jordan contributed 14 points and 12 rebounds as host Los Angeles sent New York to its ninth straight defeat.

Blake Griffin had 13 points and matched a season best with 11 assists and Jamal Crawford also scored 13 points for the Clippers, who have won 10 of their last 11 home games. Chris Paul had eight assists but managed just five points on 2-of-11 shooting.

Carmelo Anthony played despite a sore knee and scored 19 points in 29 minutes for the Knicks. Jason Smith grabbed 10 rebounds for New York, which shot just 38.1 percent from the field.

The Clippers distanced themselves from the Knicks in the third quarter when New York was 5-of-17 shooting and scored just 18 points. Los Angeles led 74-58 after three quarters and a 3-pointer by Spencer Hawes gave the Clippers an 87-64 lead with 7:46 remaining and they cruised to the finish.

Redick scored 18 first-half points and made four 3-pointers as Los Angeles held a 50-40 halftime advantage. New York missed its first seven shots in the third quarter and the Clippers blew it open with 13 straight points, capped by Jordan’s layup to make it a 23-point lead with 6:17 remaining.

GAME NOTEBOOK: New York was without PF Amar’e Stoudemire (knee) for the third straight game. … It was the second time in five games that Griffin posted 11 assists … The Knicks have lost their last five games against the Clippers.
