Stephen Curry scored 22 points on 10-of-14 shooting and Klay Thomson scored 18 as Golden State lost for just the second time in 20 games and fell to 23-4 on the season. David Lee scored 12 points in 18 minutes off the bench for the Warriors, who fell to 13-3 on the road.

Young’s three-point play capped a 16-6 run ending the first quarter and left the Lakers in front 34-24, and the lead swelled to 17 before Los Angeles settled for a 63-48 gap at the break. Wayne Ellington knocked down a 3-pointer in a 6-0 run opening the third to spread it to a 21-point cushion.

Golden State cut it to 75-65 on back-to-back 3-pointers from Harrison Barnes and Thompson but Ellington responded with another triple and the Lakers pushed it back to 95-73 heading into the fourth. The Warriors left the starters on the bench for most of the fourth quarter and the reserves put together a 16-0 run before Los Angeles closed it out.
