Nets 114, Hornets 87: Joe Johnson scored seven of his 22 points in the first minute of the game and visiting New Jersey shot a franchise-record 69.6 percent from the arc in a rout of Charlotte.

Deron Williams, who went scoreless from the field Friday versus Philadelphia for the first time since 2006, had 18 points and 10 assists for the Nets, who have won two straight after losing three in a row by more than 20 points each. Alan Anderson added 17 points and four 3-pointers and Bojan Bogdanovic and Johnson knocked down four 3-pointers each as the Nets made 16-of-23 overall and shot 58.3 from the field.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist had 15 points and Brian Roberts 14 for the weary Hornets, who were coming off a 113-107 double-overtime loss at Memphis on Friday. Kemba Walker and Lance Stephenson added 11 points each for Charlotte, which shot 39.2 percent.

After Johnson got the Nets going early, he added a 3-pointer with five minutes left in the first quarter for a 21-6 lead before Anderson pushed the edge to 18 with a 3-pointer with just under two minutes to play. The Hornets clawed back within 50-42 after a 3-pointer and a jumper by Kemba Walker with 34 seconds left in the half, but Williams closed the half with two free throws and canned two more and a 3-pointer as the Nets opened a 15-point bulge two minutes into the third quarter.

The Hornets got within 59-49 but Johnson scored five points and rookie Cory Jefferson added six during a 14-0 run that provided Brooklyn a 24-point lead with four minutes left in the third. Anderson drained his fourth 3-pointer to give the Nets a 26-point lead heading into the fourth, their biggest of the season, and Brooklyn led by as many as 34 in the fourth quarter.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Johnson scored 14 points on 6-of-9 shooting in the first quarter, including 2-of-2 from the arc. … The Nets played without injured starters C Brook Lopez (back), F Mirza Teletovic (hip) and F Kevin Garnett (rest). … After shooting 11-of-21 Friday against the Grizzlies, Walker shot 3-of-11.
