Grizzlies 107, Clippers 91: Marc Gasol scored 20 of his 30 points in the first half and added a season-high 12 rebounds as Memphis took charge early and coasted to another home victory.

Courtney Lee scored 13 points and Zach Randolph added 10 and eight rebounds for the Grizzlies, who extended their franchise-record home winning streak to 22 games and their NBA-best record to 12-2. Gasol, who shot 13-of-18 from the floor, tied his career high with 32 points on 13-of-22 shooting Friday against Boston and has scored 84 points in his last three games.

Chris Paul scored 15 of his 22 points during a 6:15 stretch bridging the second and third quarters that cut a 15-point deficit to 10, but the Clippers couldn't get much closer and fell to 2-1 on a seven-game road trip. Blake Griffin was miserable, scoring 12 points on 5-of-17 shooting with just four rebounds for the Clippers, who allowed the Grizzlies to shoot 49.4 percent and were bludgeoned 52-32 on the boards.

Gasol scored 12 points in the first seven minutes of the game as Memphis jumped on top, and the 7-footer added eight quick points over a four-minute span after returning from taking a rest that pushed the Grizzlies six-point lead to 43-28. Meanwhile, the Grizzlies' patented gritty defense held the Clippers to 4-of-17 shooting in the period - including a 5 1/2-minute drought without a hoop - to take a 53-40 lead into intermission.

The Clippers got within eight late in the third due to 13 points from Paul, but Beno Udrih and Lee hit 3-pointers to spark a 10-2 closing run that gave Memphis an 88-72 leading entering the fourth. Consecutive 3-pointers from Quincy Pondexter, Lee and Jon Leuer over a 60-second span pushed the edge to 103-78 and Memphis coasted the final eight minutes.

GAME NOTEBOOK: A stomach virus that forced five players to miss Wednesday's game at Toronto and kept Tony Allen and Pondexter out of Friday's win versus Boston, had no victims Sunday. … Memphis improved to 49-17 in the calendar year - best in the NBA. … Memphis outscored Los Angeles 52-32 in the paint and won the battle of the offensive boards 12-5
