Nets 110, Knicks 99:
Deron Williams collected 29 points and six assists as host Brooklyn had little trouble with rival New York.

Joe Johnson and Mirza Teletovic each scored 18 points and combined to go 8-of-12 from 3-point range for the Nets, who went 14-of-24 from beyond the arc. Brook Lopez added 20 points and nine rebounds as Brooklyn picked up its third win in the last four games.

Carmelo Anthony scored 19 points but shot 5-of-20 from the field as the Knicks dropped their third straight. Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 16 points and Amar’e Stoudemire added 14 and seven rebounds off the bench.

Williams’ strong drive to the basket gave the Nets a 90-68 lead with just under 10 minutes to play. A brief run drew New York within 105-92, but Teletovic buried a 3-pointer with 2:27 left and Brooklyn forced a turnover on the ensuing possession before emptying the bench.

The Nets ended the first quarter with an 11-3 run to open a 10-point lead and stretched it to as much as 18 in the second quarter before settling for a 55-42 advantage at the half. Lopez capped a 9-0 run early in the third with a three-point play, Johnson’s 3-pointer made it 77-58 with 4:45 left in the quarter as Brooklyn took an 86-68 lead into the final 12 minutes.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Anthony is 18-of-64 from the field in the last three games. … Hardaway got a rare start in place of PG Pablo Prigioni (ankle), who is day-to-day. … Nets F Kevin Garnett (14,243) grabbed five rebounds to move past Walt Bellamy (14,241) and into ninth place on the all-time NBA list.
