Suns 119, Lakers 99: Isaiah Thomas scored 23 points on 9-of-11 shooting in his Phoenix debut as the Suns opened the season by routing visiting Los Angeles.

Marcus Morris scored 21 points and Goran Dragic added 18 for Phoenix, which went 16-of-32 from 3-point range. Eric Bledsoe had 16 points and nine assists and Markieff Morris scored 12 points.

Kobe Bryant scored 31 points on 11-of-25 shooting as the Lakers dropped to 0-2. Ed Davis added 14 points and nine rebounds and Wayne Ellington scored 13 points.

Thomas and Marcus Morris each hit five 3-pointers as the Suns put on a game-long shooting barrage. Phoenix made nine 3-pointers in the first half while taking a 59-50 lead and then stepped up its shooting in the third quarter.

The Suns shot 68.2 percent from the field in the third and scored 39 points to open up a 98-73 lead. Los Angeles trailed by six points early in the third before Phoenix began pulling away with a 14-2 burst.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Lakers rookie F Julius Randle underwent surgery on his broken right leg and is expected to miss the rest of the season. … Bledsoe was ejected with 30 seconds left in the third quarter after drawing two technical fouls. … Bryant played 28 minutes, one less than he played in Tuesday’s loss to Houston.
