San Antonio led by two after the first quarter, but Denver built a 14-point lead in the second before entering the break with a 54-51 advantage. Chandler scored 13 points in the quarter for the Nuggets, but Green countered for the Spurs with 13 of his own.

The Spurs attempted to pull away in the third as they outscored Denver 32-21 to take an eight-point lead into the fourth. The Nuggets refused to give in, however, and took an 89-88 lead on a jumper by Andre Miller with 7:51 remaining, but San Antonio scored the next six points and held on as Miller missed a driving layup at the buzzer.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Denver PG Ty Lawson returned to the lineup after missing three games with a strained right heel but was a non-factor, scoring just two points on 1-of-7 shooting in 20 minutes. ... The Nuggets have lost consecutive games for the first time since dropping three in a row from Feb. 10-13. ... San Antonio was 10-for-15 from 3-point range, while Denver missed all 10 of its attempts from beyond the arc. Green was 6-for-8 for the Spurs.
