Nuggets 87, Grizzlies 80: Kosta Koufos scored 18 points and grabbed a career-best 16 rebounds as host Denver won its 11th consecutive game by silencing torrid Memphis.

Danilo Gallinari scored 15 points and Corey Brewer added 11 as the Nuggets won their 15th consecutive home game and moved within a half-game of the Grizzlies for third place in the Western Conference.

Zach Randolph had 18 points and 18 rebounds and Marc Gasol scored 14 points for Memphis, which had a six-game winning streak halted and lost for the only the second time in 16 games.

Denver scored just 10 third-quarter points on 4-of-20 shooting and trailed 66-58 entering the final stanza. The contest was tied at 78 before Gallinari hit two free throws with 2:13 remaining and Koufos followed with a basket during the game-ending 9-2 run that improved the Nuggets' home record to 30-3.

Koufos had 13 first-half points to help Denver to a 48-47 lead at the break. Randolph had 12 points and 11 rebounds in the first half.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Denver’s winning streak is its longest since also winning 11 straight during the 1982-83 campaign. … The Grizzlies shot just 35.3 percent from the field. … Memphis has held 13 consecutive opponents under 100 and Denver failed to reach the century mark for only the second time in 26 games.
