Grizzlies 102, Trail Blazers 97: Zach Randolph had 19 points and 10 rebounds in his return from a four-game absence due to an ankle injury to help lift Memphis over host Portland.

Marc Gasol scored a team-best 20 points, Mike Conley had 14 points and a career-high 15 assists and Ed Davis had 14 points and nine rebounds as the Grizzlies won their fifth straight game and 13th in 14 outings.

Damian Lillard scored 30 points and LaMarcus Aldridge had 28 points and 10 rebounds for the Trail Blazers, who fell four games behind the Los Angeles Lakers for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

Portland trailed by 12 after a basket by Davis with 6:48 remaining but couldn’t get close than five points until Lillard hit a 3-pointer with 14.2 seconds left. Tony Allen followed with a fast-break basket to help the Grizzlies put the game away.

Memphis led 48-40 at halftime and stretched the lead to 15 on Davis’ basket with 3:04 left in the third quarter. The Grizzlies had a 68-58 advantage entering the final stanza.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Conley scored 12 of his 14 points in the final quarter. … The double-double was Randolph’s 36th of the season, while Aldridge notched his 29th. … The victory was Memphis’ third in its last 10 visits to Portland.
