Clippers 129, Pistons 97: Blake Griffin had 22 points and eight rebounds and host Los Angeles rolled up a season-high 70 first-half points en route to the blowout victory.

Chris Paul scored 20 points and handed out 14 assists as the Clippers won for the sixth time in eight games and sent Detroit to its fifth consecutive defeat.

Jose Calderon scored 18 points and Jonas Jerebko chipped in 14 and eight boards for the Pistons, who lost for the eighth time in nine games and suffered their 14th straight road loss to a Western Conference opponent.

Los Angeles connected on 14 of 28 3-point attempts, including a perfect 5-for-5 by Matt Barnes (16 points), who helped trigger the game-breaking run in the second quarter.

With the Clippers up by 12 points, Barnes hit back-to-back 3-pointers to spark a 12-2 burst in a 72-second span that was capped by a monster tomahawk dunk by DeAndre Jordan for a 22-point lead en route to a 70-52 halftime edge.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Sixth man Jamal Crawford (ankle) and reserve G Eric Bledsoe (calf) both sat out for the Clippers, who saw F Caron Butler go to the locker room in the third quarter with a left elbow contusion. ... Pistons coach Lawrence Frank (personal) was not with the team for a third straight game. Brian Hill guided the Pistons. ... Paul needs five points to become the 57th active player to score 10,000 career points.
