Grizzlies 96, Hornets 85: Mike Conley scored 22 points to lead seven players in double figures as host Memphis pulled away in the second half for its fourth straight victory.

Tony Allen added 14 points and Ed Davis contributed 12 points, nine rebounds and five blocks as the Grizzlies improved to 12-1 in their last 13 and avenged a rare home loss to New Orleans in January.

Rookie Anthony Davis, the No. 1 overall pick, scored 20 points and pulled down a season-high 18 rebounds for the Hornets, who tumbled to their third straight defeat and eighth in 10 games.

Conley fueled a 12-2 run to close the second quarter and give Memphis a 47-41 halftime lead. New Orleans scored the first six points of the third to tie it but Ed Davis had six points in a 16-3 spurt as the Grizzlies pulled ahead 78-60 after three quarters.

The Hornets cut the deficit to 11 points twice late in the fourth but could not get any closer to Memphis, which also got 13 points apiece from Tayshaun Prince and Quincy Pondexter.
