Kings 121, Suns 112: Isaiah Thomas scored 27 points and Tyreke Evans added 25 as Sacramento held off a late charge by visiting Phoenix.

Marcus Thornton scored 23 points and put the Kings ahead by 11 with 8:15 remaining before Phoenix scored eight unanswered points to cut the lead to 98-95 with 6:49 to play. The Kings snapped a five-game losing streak against the Suns while making four of their 13 3-pointers in the final 6:30.

Phoenix, which rallied to win its first two games against Sacramento this season, failed to complete a third comeback despite Michael Beasley’s 24 points. The Suns cut the lead to 116-112 with 43 seconds left before the Kings made five of their final six free throws to secure the win.

After shooting 3-for-22 from the field in his last two games, DeMarcus Cousins was 9-of-13 shooting and finished with 22 points and 14 rebounds against the Suns. Thornton, Evans and Thomas combined to made 13 of their 18 shots from 3-point range.

Wesley Johnson scored a season-high 19 points and Goran Dragic had 17 points and 16 assists for the Suns, who allowed Sacramento to shoot 54.9 percent from the field.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Suns C Jermaine O’Neal missed his second straight game while attending to his ailing 13-year-old daughter. … The Kings have made 10 or more 3-pointers in seven of the last nine games. … Phoenix played without C Marcin Gortat, who suffered a season-ending foot injury against Toronto on Wednesday.
