Warriors 110, Nuggets 108: Stephen Curry shook off a left ankle injury and collected 29 points and 11 assists to lead host Golden State to a 2-1 series lead over Denver.

Jarrett Jack added 23 points and Harrison Barnes and Carl Landry scored 19 apiece as the Warriors won their first home playoff game since 2007. They will try to take a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series on Sunday.

Ty Lawson recorded 35 points and 10 assists but had a crucial turnover in the final seconds as the Nuggets fell short. Corey Brewer scored 16 points and Kenneth Faried chipped in 15 in the setback.

Denver got a 3-pointer from Wilson Chandler with 16 seconds left to make it a one-point game and had a chance to take the lead after forcing a turnover on a five-second call. But Lawson lost his dribble on the other end with 5.3 ticks on the clock and Andre Igoudala’s desperation heave from half-court bounced off the side of the rim at the buzzer.

Lawson threw a behind-the-back pass to Faried for a dunk to pull Denver within 96-94 with 5:54 left but the Nuggets could not keep Curry out of the paint on the other end long enough to take the lead. Curry took Faried to the hole for a left-handed hook shot and threw a floater up over Brewer on the next possession to help keep the Warriors on top.

The Nuggets closed the first half with a 13-2 run behind four points and three assists from Lawson to take a 66-54 lead into the break. Lawson scored 19 points in the opening half and handed out six assists as Denver shot 53.3 percent.

The Warriors went on their own run in the third quarter, getting seven points from Curry during a 16-2 burst that gave them a 74-73 lead. Golden State took a three-point edge into the fourth quarter and led by as much as 94-88 after Landry’s basket with 9:11 remaining.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Warriors overcame 23 turnovers that led to 30 points for the Nuggets. … Faried missed Game 1 with an ankle injury and was ineffective off the bench in Game 2 but returned to the starting lineup on Friday. … Curry was a game-time decision after suffering a sprained ankle in Game 2 but played 38 minutes and went 4-of-7 from 3-point range.
