Nuggets 107, Warriors 100: Andre Iguodala collected 25 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists as Denver kept its season alive and forced a Game 6 by holding off visiting Golden State.

Ty Lawson added 19 points and 10 assists and Wilson Chandler scored 19 for the Nuggets, who trail 3-2 in the best-of-seven Western Conference series. Game 6 will be Thursday in Oakland.

Harrison Barnes scored 23 points, Jarrett Jack had 20 and Klay Thomson had 19 for Golden State. Stephen Curry was held to a series-low 15 points and struggled to 1-of-7 from beyond the arc.

Denver led by as much as 92-73 with nine minutes left before the Warriors made one more push. Curry’s 3-pointer with 5:09 left capped an 18-4 burst and brought Golden State within 96-91.

The Warriors had a chance to make it a one-possession game but Curry and Thompson missed 3-pointers on the same possession and Chandler responded with a made 3-pointer from the corner at the other end to stretch it back to 103-95 with 1:25 left. Iguodala and Faried dunked on back-to-back possessions to put the game away.

After trying to counter Golden State’s smaller lineup with one of their own in the previous two games, the Nuggets moved JaVale McGee to the starting lineup for Game 5 and went with a more aggressive approach early. The Warriors had trouble getting anything in the paint with McGee and Kosta Koufos trading time in the middle and fell behind 36-22 after the first quarter.

Denver kept the pressure on in the second quarter and stretched the lead to as much as 66-44 on Chandler’s 3-pointer with 23 seconds left in the period before settling for a 20-point gap at the break. Golden State cut it to nine in the third quarter but let it get away again as the Nuggets went into the fourth quarter with an 86-69 edge.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Warriors C Andrew Bogut and F Draymond Green were both called for flagrant 1 fouls. … Barnes added nine rebounds and went 5-for-10 from 3-point range. He has averaged 23.5 points in the last two games at Denver. … The Nuggets outscored Golden State 50-24 in the paint.
