Ty Lawson led the way with 20 points and Denver got 51 points off the bench to coast past host Charlotte.

JaVale McGee led the bench effort with 17 points and Andre Iguodala collected 13 points and 10 assists for the Nuggets, who ended a four-game road losing streak.

Kemba Walker scored a game-high 24 points, Gerald Henderson added 19 and Jeffery Taylor scored a career-high 18 off the bench as the Bobcats dropped their third straight and suffered their NBA-worst 22nd home loss.

Denver used a 16-8 run closing the second quarter to take a 60-54 lead into the half and never trailed again. Lawson scored five straight points early in the third to stretch the lead to 11 points before the Nuggets settled for an 83-74 advantage heading into the fourth.

McGee completed a three-point play with eight minutes left to push it out to 94-79 and Charlotte never got back within single digits. Five more points and an assist from Lawson during an 8-0 burst gave Denver a 20-point lead with 3:36 remaining to put the game away.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Bobcats disgruntled G Ben Gordon sat out Friday’s game but was back in the lineup against the Nuggets and went scoreless on 0-of-3 shooting in 12 minutes. … Nuggets F Danilo Gallinari is fighting through a thigh injury and was limited to six points in 15 minutes. … Charlotte F Josh McRoberts, who was acquired from Orlando at the trade deadline, made his Bobcats debut and pulled down three rebounds in six minutes off the bench.
