Pacers 89, Wizards 81: Paul George collected 29 points and 14 rebounds and host Indiana never trailed en route to its ninth straight victory over Washington.

George reached double figures for the 15th consecutive game while posting his sixth double-double of the season as the Pacers won their sixth straight home game and improved to 9-2 in their last 11 contests. D.J. Augustin started at point guard for George Hill (right thigh contusion) for the second straight game and added a season-high 18 points while Roy Hibbert chipped in 13 as Indiana shot 37.7 percent.

Jordan Crawford's 20 points off the bench paced Washington, which has dropped 11 of its last 12 games. Kevin Seraphin added 16, Nene contributed 15 and rookie Bradley Beal scored 12 of his 14 points in the second half, including a 3-pointer with 34.1 seconds remaining that cut Indiana's lead to 85-81.

Beal's second 3-pointer in the final 86 seconds marked the closest Washington came in the fourth quarter. The Wizards never led, though they were within 51-49 with 8:21 to play in the third quarter. Indiana countered with a 12-4 run and took a 67-58 lead into the fourth before stretching it to 13 on six straight points by George.

George scored 10 points in the first quarter as Indiana scored the game's first eight points and took a 31-18 lead. Washington cut the lead to 38-35 with 5:16 to play in the first half but George sandwiched a 3-pointer around two layups and the Pacers took a 47-39 lead into halftime.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Beal was named Eastern Conference rookie of the month for December. He averaged 13.4 points in 12 games last month. ... Indiana's postponed game with the Chicago Bulls from Dec. 26 was re-scheduled for Feb. 4. ... Pacers C Ian Mahinmi had a season-high 11 rebounds and fell two shy of his personal best set on March 20, 2011, for Dallas against Golden State.
