Spurs 118, Wizards 92: Tiago Splitter came within three assists of his first career triple-double by totaling 15 points, 12 rebounds and seven helpers as visiting San Antonio had little difficulty with winless Washington.

Seven different Spurs reached double figures as Boris Diaw led with a season-high 16 points. Tony Parker added 15 and Tim Duncan chipped in 14 as San Antonio shot 56.3 percent and improved its league-leading road record to 8-1.

Jordan Crawford and Kevin Seraphin were Washington's most effective players as they scored 19 and 18 on 18-of-35 from the floor. The rest of the team was 19-of-55 and the Wizards (0-12) shot 41.1 percent overall while suffering their biggest margin of defeat.

The game was close until the final three minutes of the opening half when the Spurs scored the last 10 points and seized a 60-48 lead at halftime. Washington briefly threatened in the third quarter with seven straight points that cut the deficit to 72-61 with 6:35 remaining, but San Antonio closed out the quarter with a 20-9 run and left little doubt about the outcome.

Gary Neal contributed 13, Manu Ginobili added 12 and Matt Bonner chipped in 11 as the Spurs posted their 13th straight victory over the Wizards.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Duncan was named Western Conference Player of the Week after averaging 22 points. He won the award for the 21st time in his career but first since Nov. 23-27, 2009. ... Although he was not on the inactive list, Washington F Nene did not play. He has played 48 minutes in his first two games back from left plantar fasciitis. ... The Wizards have trailed after the opening quarter in 11 of 12 games.
