HEAT 111, CAVALIERS 87:
LeBron James had 28 points and Dwyane Wade had 22 despite neither playing the fourth quarter as the Heat completed a successful six-game road trip.

The Heat scored 21 of the game’s first 23 points to negate an energized sold-out crowd that showed up to boo James a day after the former Cav said he’d be open to returning to the organization some day.

James dominated his former team, completing a pair of highlight dunks off lob passes within the game’s first eight minutes, the second of which put the Heat up 25-5.

His 3-pointer with 4:50 left put the Heat up 83-49 for their biggest lead of the game.

Kyrie Irving had 17 points for the Cavs, but shot just 5 of 15 from the floor. Ramon Sessions had 15 points and Tristan Thompson had 12, both off the bench for the Cavs, who have dropped three of their last four.

The Heat went 5-1 on the road trip, winning the five games by an average of 19 points.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Chris Bosh had 16 points and 12 rebounds for the Heat. … The Heat shot 14 of 21 on 3-pointers, while the Cavs were just 6 of 16. … The Cavs' starting backcourt of Irving and Alonzo Gee combined to shoot 9 of 29.
