Mike Conley scored 21 points to lead the Memphis Grizzlies to a 93-83 victory over the visiting Houston Rockets on Tuesday night.

Rudy Gay added 20 points and Marc Gasol had 18 points to help the Grizzlies beat Houston for the second time in as many meetings this season.

Kyle Lowry had a game-high 24 points for Houston, which fell to 3-3 in the finale of its six-game road trip.

Conley, who missed the earlier matchup with the Rockets, scored seven straight points in the second quarter to help Memphis build a double-digit lead, and buried a 3-pointer with 2 1/2 minutes to play in the game after Houston had pulled within five points.

Rockets leading scorer Kevin Martin, who broke out of his recent funk with 28 points at Golden State on Sunday, was held scoreless for the first time this season.

Gay had 12 second-quarter points help Memphis stretch its lead to double figures and take a 52-43 lead at halftime.

The Grizzlies, getting 11 points from Gasol in the third quarter, extended the nine-point halftime lead to 15 en route to closing within one game of Houston in the Southwest Division.
