Steve Nash had 24 points and 11 assists to lead the Phoenix Suns to a 99-90 victory over the host Atlanta Hawks on Monday.

Channing Frye added 19 points and nine rebounds as Phoenix won for the fourth time in six games.

Josh Smith scored 18 points, Joe Johnson had 17 and Willie Green added 14 for Atlanta, which has lost three consecutive games for the first time this season.

Nash hit all four of his 3-point attempts as the Suns went 11 for 24 from behind the arc while beating the Hawks for the 20th time in the last 25 meetings.

Nash had 17 first-half points as Phoenix led 55-48 at the break. The key sequence was a 14-2 spurt that gave the Suns a 16-point lead midway through the quarter.

Atlanta trailed 65-60 after Johnson’s basket with 7:26 to go in the third quarter before Nash capped an 8-0 run with a 22-footer. The Suns later scored the final nine points of the period to take a 20-point lead into the final stanza.

Jared Dudley and Michael Redd added 10 points apiece for Phoenix.

The Hawks shot only 39.3 percent from the floor and made 6 of 24 3-point attempts.
