Kevin Martin scored 26 of his game-high 34 points in the first half to lead the Houston Rockets to a 103-87 victory over the visiting Memphis Grizzlies on Friday.

Luis Scola added 23 points and nine rebounds as Houston (11-15) defeated Memphis for the seventh straight time.

Kyle Lowry scored 17 points to go with a career-best 18 assists and five steals for the Rockets.

Rudy Gay and Sam Young scored 19 points apiece for the Grizzlies (12-15), who had their four-game winning streak snapped.

Shane Battier had 17 points and 10 rebounds and made five of Houston’s 10 3-point field goals.

Martin had 26 points in the first half to help Houston to a 61-33 halftime lead.

Memphis’ Young connected on 8-of-9 field-goal attempts while recording a season-high scoring total.

The Grizzlies shot just 29.3 percent in the first half and 36.5 percent for the game.

The Rockets led 34-13 after one quarter and led by 29 points entering the final quarter.
