Ty Lawson scored 12 of his 30 points in the fourth quarter and Andre Iguodala matched his season high with 29 as visiting Denver edged Portland.

Portland cut the lead to one on Damian Lillard’s fourth 3-pointer with three seconds to play, but LaMarcus Aldridge missed from nine feet away at the buzzer after Denver's Andre Miller made one of his two free throws.

Lillard scored 26 points and Aldridge had 22 for Portland, which trailed by as many as 12 points in the second quarter. The Blazers committed 19 turnovers and were outscored 72-42 in the paint.

Portland trailed by two with 13 seconds left before Aldridge missed a fadeaway shot and Lawson made two free throws to put the Nuggets ahead 110-106. Lawson made 12 of his 22 shots from the field and scored 20-plus points for the eighth straight game.

Rookie Meyers Leonard scored a career-high 13 points for Portland, which lost to the Nuggets at home for the first time in seven games. J.J. Hickson added 18 points and 14 rebounds.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Nuggets leading scorer Danilo Gallinari missed his second straight game with a left thigh bruise. ... Denver improved to 23-9 since losing to the Blazers 101-93 at the Rose Garden on Dec. 20. … Six of the last seven games between the teams have been decided by single digits.
