Heat 141, Kings 129 (2OT): LeBron James racked up 40 points, 16 assists and eight rebounds and Dwyane Wade added 39 points, eight boards and seven assists as host Miami outlasted Sacramento to extend the longest active winning streak in the NBA to 12 games.

Ray Allen chipped in 21 points off the bench for the Heat, whose 12-game streak matches the second-longest in franchise history. Miami won 14 straight during the 2004-05 campaign.

Marcus Thornton scored 36 points off the bench for Sacramento, which has lost a season-high six straight and 14 of 17. DeMarcus Cousins added 24 points and 15 rebounds and Tyreke Evans scored 26 for the Kings, who have dropped nine straight on the road — also a season high.

The Kings used a red-hot second quarter to take a 53-51 lead into halftime, and they were clinging to an 85-84 advantage entering the fourth. Wade's jumper put the Heat ahead 94-92 with 7:45 left, and Miami led 112-104 with 1:39 to go. Sacramento clawed back to force overtime with back-to-back 3-pointers from Thornton sparking the rally.

Thornton hit two more 3s in the first overtime period and another in the second, but it was one of only two field goals for the Kings in the period and the Heat pulled away to sweep the season series from Sacramento for the fifth consecutive season. James scored 11 points in the second overtime for Miami, which has won 14 games this season after trailing in the fourth quarter.
