Jazz 115, Warriors 101: Al Jefferson led the way with 24 points and Gordon Hayward returned to action with 17 as Utah handed visiting Golden State its sixth straight loss.

Randy Foye added 15 points, Paul Millsap and Derrick Favors scored 14 apiece and Alec Burks chipped in 13 off the bench for the Jazz, who have won three straight to pull into a tie with the Warriors for the No. 6 spot in the Western Conference.

Stephen Curry had a game-high 29 points and Jarrett Jack collected 19 and nine assists for Golden State. All-Star David Lee recorded 18 points and nine rebounds as the Warriors dropped to 14-16 on the road.

Utah opened up a 19-9 lead in the first quarter and never trailed. Golden State cut it to 26-19 at the end of the first quarter and began to shake off the rust from the All-Star break with a hot second frame as Curry scored 14 points to make it a 58-53 deficit at the break.

Curry’s 3-pointer early in the third drew the Warriors within 66-65, but the Jazz went on a 15-4 spurt over the next 5 1/2 minutes to spread it back out. Jefferson scored nine points during the run.

Another 3-pointer from Curry with 9:47 left pulled Golden State within six points but Utah took over from there. Burks pushed the lead back to double digits on a layup with 5:54 left and his 3-pointer made it 111-94 with 2:28 left before the Warriors called timeout and cleared the bench.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Golden State has allowed an average of 117.5 points during its current losing streak. … Lee, who leads the NBA with 33 double-doubles, has only two during the slide. … Hayward, who had missed the previous 10 games with a shoulder injury, went 5-for-9 in 25 minutes off the bench.
