Nuggets 97, Celtics 90: Danilo Gallinari and Ty Lawson scored 26 points apiece as Denver held off visiting Boston to snap a three-game losing skid.

After Celtics guard Avery Bradley made a 3-pointer to tie the game at 84 with 5:33 to play, Gallinari sparked a 10-2 run with his fourth 3-pointer and the Nuggets were able to hold on for the victory. Boston made two field goals in the final seven minutes and lost for just the second time in its last 10 games.

Jeff Green scored a season-high 20 points to lead five players in double figures for the Celtics, who were beginning a five-game road trip. Bradley had 17 points while leading scorer Paul Pierce was held to 10 on 2-of-14 shooting.

Denver led 78-70 after closing the third quarter on a 13-5 run, but Boston pulled within one on Green's 3-pointer with 8:30 remaining.

Courtney Lee, whose 17-foot jumper at the buzzer gave the Celtics a 50-49 lead at the break, finished with 15 points. Lee has made 22 consecutive free throws after converting his only opportunity against the Nuggets.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Denver F Andre Iguodala, who missed the final two games before the All-Star break with a neck strain, finished with one point on 0-of-7 shooting in 29 minutes. ... Denver improved to 23-3 at home, including eight straight wins. ... Nuggets F Kenneth Faried, who was selected the MVP of the Rising Stars Challenge on Friday, grabbed a game-high 16 rebounds.
