C.J. Cron homered twice and drove in five runs, Randal Grichuk also went deep and finished with two hits and the Colorado Rockies beat the San Diego Padres 10-4 on Friday in Denver.

Cron and Charlie Blackmon had three hits apiece, Yonathan Daza and Connor Joe had two hits each and Kyle Freeland (3-5) allowed four runs on eight hits over seven innings for the Rockies. Freeland walked one and had no strikeouts.

Colorado ended a seven-game home losing streak and a three-game overall skid.

Trent Grisham homered and Jake Cronenworth had two hits for the Padres, who had their four-game winning streak stopped.

The Rockies, as they did on June 11 in San Diego, got an early jump on Padres starter MacKenzie Gore (4-3). With one out in the first inning, Daza singled to right and scored on Blackmon's triple to the wall in right-center field.

Cron followed with a two-run homer to make it 3-0.

Colorado added on in the fourth inning. Jose Iglesias led off with a single, Brian Serven drew a walk and Grichuk homered to left, his sixth of the season, to double the Rockies' lead.

San Diego rallied in the fifth to get back in the game. Grisham led off the inning with his fifth home run to put the Padres on the board, and Jose Azocar tripled off the wall in right-center. Azocar's fly ball was initially ruled an out before the umpires determined the ball hit the fence before Daza caught it.

Jurickson Profar brought home Azocar with a sacrifice fly, Cronenworth was hit by a pitch and Manny Machado and Luke Voit followed with RBI doubles to make it 6-4.

Colorado got two back in the bottom of the inning on Cron's two-run homer, his second round-tripper of the night and 16th of the season.

That blast knocked out Gore after he allowed eight runs on nine hits in four-plus innings. He walked three and fanned one.

The Rockies struck again in the sixth. Joe led off with a single and went to third on Daza's double. Consecutive RBI singles by Blackmon and Cron made it a six-run game again.
