Christian Walker and Carson Kelly hit solo homers, and the Arizona Diamondbacks recorded a 4-2 victory over the host New York Yankees on Tuesday night.

Adam Jones lifted a sacrifice fly in the first, and Nick Ahmed hit an RBI single in the fourth for the Diamondbacks, who won for the fifth time in their last 12 games, rebounded from dropping three of four in Miami and recorded their 14th interleague victory this season.

Walker connected on his 20th homer in the fourth, hitting J.A. Happ's 2-1 fastball over the short porch in right field to give Arizona a 2-0 lead. Kelly homered for the second straight game, his 14th, when he slugged an 0-1 breaking ball from Luis Cessa into the visiting bullpen beyond the left-center field fence in the seventh.

The Yankees lost for the sixth time in nine games and dropped to 0-3 this season against Arizona.

New York was blanked until the sixth when Edwin Encarnacion roped an RBI double off Taylor Clarke (4-3) that scored Aaron Judge. Judge reached when his line drive went off the top of Jones' glove in right field for a two-base error.

Tyler Wade hit a solo homer with one out in the eighth for the Yankees.

Clarke allowed an unearned run on three hits in 5 1/3 innings in his first start since his wife gave birth to the couple's third child last week. He struck out six, walked two and threw 95 pitches.

Happ (8-6) allowed three runs on eight hits in six innings. He struck out two, walked one and became the first Yankee starting pitcher to complete six innings since Masahiro Tanaka on July 20 against Colorado.

Clarke exited after retiring Wade with two runners on for the first out in the sixth. Yoshihisa Hirano loaded the bases but escaped with a two-run lead, and Kelly opened the seventh with his homer.

Hirano struck out two in the seventh, and Yoan Lopez struck out Judge to end the inning. Lopez was lifted after allowing Wade's second career homer, and Andrew Chafin retired Didi Gregorius for the second out.

Archie Bradley recorded the final four outs for his fifth career save and first since June 18, 2018.

The Yankees were without DJ LeMahieu (groin) for the third straight game. They also lost Luke Voit due to a core muscle injury after the fourth.
