Trey Mancini hit two home runs, and starter Asher Wojciechowski carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning as the Baltimore Orioles defeated the visiting Boston Red Sox 5-0 in the series finale Sunday afternoon.

Mancini recorded his second multi-homer game of the week, touching up former teammate Andrew Cashner for a solo shot plus a two-run blast off him later. Jonathan Villar also added a solo homer as the Orioles won two of three in this series.

Wojciechowski (1-3) earned his first victory in the major leagues since 2017 when the right-hander pitched with Cincinnati. Overall, he gave up just one hit in 7 1/3 innings, struck out 10 with two walks and received a big ovation when manager Brandon Hyde removed him in the eighth.

The innings and strikeouts were both career highs for Wojciechowski. He threw 68 strikes on 105 pitches on an afternoon where the heat index was over 100 degrees at Camden Yards.

Wojciechowski did not give up a hit until Rafael Devers lined a double to right leading off the seventh, a ball that just missed being a home run. After that, the right-hander retired the next three hitters to escape trouble.

Before the Devers double, Brock Holt was the only Boston batter to reach base. He was hit by a pitch and walked.

Boston finished with a season-low one hit. The previous low for a game had been three.

Cashner (9-5) threw six innings against the Orioles in his second start for Boston since the Red Sox acquired him from Baltimore just over a week ago. He allowed four runs on six hits and struck out seven, but the two home runs hurt the veteran right-hander.

Cashner ran into trouble right away when Mancini belted a solo homer to center with one out in the first that gave Baltimore a 1-0 lead.

Chris Davis then pitched in for the Orioles by slicing an RBI double to left in the second inning, a ball that just landed inside the left-field foul line and gave the Orioles a 2-0 edge.

Mancini made it 4-0 in the third when he lined his two-run homer to left-center.

Baltimore did not score again until Villar homered to lead off the eighth inning against Heath Hembree. That homer gave the Orioles a 5-0 lead.
