Leury Garcia went 4-for-5 with two RBIs and Reynaldo Lopez pitched seven strong innings to help the visiting Chicago White Sox snap a seven-game skid with a 9-2 victory against the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday night.

Chicago responded from its recent offensive woes by collecting nine extra-base hits and saddling Rays rookie left-hander Brendan McKay with the quickest exit of his brief Major League career.

Making his fourth career start and first appearance against the White Sox, McKay labored throughout. He threw 52 of his 76 pitches for strikes but was roughed up in the second inning, which included a two-run double from Garcia and an RBI double by Yoan Moncada, who had three hits and two RBIs.

McKay (1-1) scattered nine hits and six runs -- five earned -- in 3 1/3 innings with zero walks and five strikeouts. The White Sox reached him for five doubles -- including three from Garcia -- and a solo home run off the bat of Yolmer Sanchez leading off the fourth. Sanchez finished with three hits -- all for extra bases -- and two RBIs.

Lopez (5-8) earned his first victory since June 9, limiting the Rays to two runs on six hits with one walk and eight strikeouts. The Rays stranded seven runners and went 2-for-7 with runners in scoring position.

Tampa Bay lost its third straight game after winning four of five coming out of the All-Star break.

The Rays endured a whirlwind stretch after getting swept by the New York Yankees in a road doubleheader on Thursday. After the twin bill ended around 10:45 p.m. Eastern time, the Rays' team plane departed New York at 12:30 a.m. Friday and didn't arrive in Tampa until approximately 4 a.m.

Chicago opened the scoring in the first inning, as Jose Abreu reached base on one-out error that allowed Garcia to score after his leadoff double.

The Rays tied the game on a Ji-Man Choi RBI single with one out in the bottom of the first, scoring Austin Meadows, who led off with a triple.

Adam Engel contributed an RBI triple in Chicago's two-run fifth and later scored on a Colin Poche wild pitch.

Sanchez, Engel, Jon Jay and Welington Castillo had two hits each for Chicago.

The Rays' Joey Wendle doubled twice.
