Yolmer Sanchez homered and had two RBIs, James McCann had four hits and an RBI, and Ivan Nova pitched into the seventh inning as the visiting Chicago White Sox defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 7-2 Saturday afternoon.

Nova (2-3) allowed five hits and one run in six-plus innings to help the White Sox snap a three-game losing streak.

Randal Grichuk homered and tripled for the Blue Jays.

Toronto starter Marcus Stroman (1-6) allowed eight hits and four runs (three earned) in 6 1/3 innings.

Sanchez hit his first home run this season with one out in the third inning. The White Sox added a run in the inning when Leury Garcia reached on an infield single, advanced to third on Stroman's errant pickoff throw and trotted home on Yoan Moncada's single.

The Blue Jays helped Nova with poor base running in the sixth. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. walked but got caught in a rundown between second and third when he tried to advance two bases on Justin Smoak's groundout to second.

McCann and Charlie Tilson led off the seventh with singles. Nicky Delmonico hit a one-out RBI single that left runners at the corners for reliever Derek Law. Stroman complained to manager Charlie Montoyo when he was removed. Ryan Cordell ran for Delmonico.

Sanchez bunted and was given credit for a sacrifice and an RBI when Law was charged with an error. After Garcia grounded out to Law and Moncada walked, Jose Abreu struck out to end the inning.

Grichuk led off the bottom of the seventh with his seventh homer of the season. Freddy Galvis followed with a single. Evan Marshall replaced Nova and induced a double-play grounder by Teoscar Hernandez.

Yonder Alonso led off the eighth with a walk. Pinch runner Jose Rondon took third on McCann's double. Javy Guerra replaced Law and allowed a two-run double to Tilson.

Elvis Luciano allowed McCann's RBI double in the top of the ninth.

White Sox closer Alex Colome allowed a ninth-inning run on Grichuk's triple and a groundout by Galvis.
