Brett Anderson ran his streak of consecutive scoreless innings to 16 and Khris Davis surpassed 100 RBIs for the season with a run-scoring single and two-run home run Tuesday night, lifting the Oakland Athletics to a second consecutive shutout win over the Texas Rangers, 6-0 in Oakland, Calif.

Jed Lowrie and Nick Martini also drove in runs with hits for the A's, who improved to 6-2 on their nine-game homestand.

The A's shut out the Rangers 9-0 in the series opener on Monday night.

Anderson (3-3) allowed a leadoff double to Shin-Soo Choo in the fourth but no other hits in seven innings, extending his scoreless string that began two starts earlier against the Los Angeles Angels.

The veteran left-hander struck out six and walked one.

Anderson was coming off 7 2/3 shutout innings in a win over Seattle last Wednesday. He has pitched 26 2/3 innings in August over four starts, allowing just two runs and 12 hits.

The A's got Anderson and relievers Jeurys Familia and Lou Trivino all the offensive support they needed when Martini led off the bottom of the first with a single against Rangers starter Ariel Jurado (2-3) and scored one out later on a single by Lowrie.

Davis made it 2-0 in the fifth with an RBI single, then capped the Oakland scoring with his 38th homer of the season in the seventh off Rangers reliever Matt Moore.

It was Davis' ninth home run in 15 games against the Rangers this season, one shy of the 10 he hit against them in 18 games in 2016.

The three RBIs gave Davis 102 for the season, the third straight year in which he's topped 100. He recorded a career-best 110 last season.

Davis, Martini, Lowrie, Stephen Piscotty and Ramon Laureano each collected two hits for the A's, who have won 10 of 15 from the Rangers this season.

The A's out-hit the Rangers 12.

Jurickson Profar's single against Familia in the eighth was Texas' only hit other than the earlier double by Choo.

The Rangers fell to 0-2 on their six-game trip.
