Matt Kemp had four RBIs, including a go-ahead home run in the eighth inning, as the Los Angeles Dodgers rallied for a 6-4 victory over the visiting Colorado Rockies on Sunday afternoon at Dodger Stadium.

Yasiel Puig added an insurance run in the eighth when he scored from second base on an infield single by Joc Pederson, who had three hits.

Rockies second baseman DJ LeMahieu prevented Pederson's eighth-inning grounder from getting to the outfield with Puig taking third. Puig then darted home when LeMahieu lobbed the ball casually to first baseman Ian Desmond.

Nolan Arenado had a home run and two RBIs for the Rockies. The homer to center was Arenado's National League-leading 21st of the season and his eighth in his past 12 games.

Kemp, the second-leading vote getter for the All-Star Game among National League outfielders, delivered his 14th home run and first since June 23. He entered just 1-for-15 in his five games played on the current homestand.

Dodgers reliever Daniel Hudson (3-2) pitched a scoreless inning to pick up the victory, while Kenley Jansen pitched the ninth for his 22nd save.

Rockies reliever Adam Ottavino (4-2) gave up two runs and four hits in one-third of an inning to take the loss.

Both teams traded early RBI ground outs to first base. The Dodgers took a 1-0 lead in the first inning on Kemp's RBI grounder, while the Rockies answered with their own RBI grounder from Desmond.

Arenado delivered his own RBI ground out to shortstop in the third that gave the Rockies a 2-1 lead. Trevor Story followed two batters later with an RBI ground-rule double.

Kemp came through for the Dodgers with an RBI double in the third inning, with Arenado crushing his home run for a 4-2 lead.

Kemp drove in his third run of the game with an RBI single in the fifth, and Cody Bellinger tied it with an RBI ground out to second base, the fourth run-scoring ground out combined for both teams.

Dodgers starter Ross Stripling gave up four runs on nine hits over six innings with seven strikeouts.

Rockies starter Chad Bettis lasted just three innings, giving up two runs on two hits with two walks. He left with the club called a "hot spot" on his right middle finger.
