PHOENIX -- San Francisco's recent reputation has been built on pitching, but its offense is all over the National League leaderboard this season and the bats were on full display Saturday night.

The Giants backed right-hander Jake Peavy with 14 hits -- 13 singles -- and stretched their winning streak to four in an 8-4 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field.

"Tonight is kind of who we are," Giants manager Bruce Bochy said. "We are not a power-hitting club, but we're a team that is able to execute. Get on base, find a way to get them in."

Cleanup hitter Buster Posey was 3-for-4 with four RBIs. The catcher was given chances because the first three in the Giants' order -- center fielder Angel Pagan, second baseman Joe Panik and third baseman Matt Duffy -- reached base in 10 of their 15 plate appearances.

"I think I had runners in scoring position every at-bat but the first," Posey said. "That's always fun. We just kept pressure on them all the time."

Pagan had two singles and a sacrifice fly, Panik contributed two singles and scored twice and Duffy had three hits and scored twice as the Giants (48-43) clinched their 10 straight series victory at Chase Field. It is the longest such streak in the majors and their longest since 1903-07.

"Nice hitting at the top of the order," Bochy said. "They did a good job using the whole field, going the other way. That's usually a good thing. You are usually going to put runs up when that happens."

Posey had a two-run single in the third inning and singled in a run in the fourth as the Giants built a 7-1 lead against Arizona starter Chase Anderson (4-4). Posey also singled in a run in the eighth.

Peavy (1-4) gave up four runs in 6 1/3 innings in his fifth start of the season since missing two months with a back injury. His last three victories are against Arizona, the previous two on Sept. 11 and Sept. 16, 2014.

"We got through it," Peavy said. "We got to get it rolling downhill. It is nice to get that (first victory) behind you. The boys swung the bats. We played good defense."

Left fielder David Peralta and pinch-hitter Cliff Pennington homered against Peavy for the Diamondbacks (42-47), who have a season-worst five-game losing streak.

"We are not playing crisp baseball," Arizona manager Chip Hale said. "We are not doing the things we need to do to win. We have to play better."

Arizona right fielder Ender Inciarte had three hits and an RBI.

Giants right-hander Sergio Romo got the final four outs for his first save of the season.

Posey, who was 3-for-4, has hits in 16 of his last 17 games, with 22 RBIs. He drove in runs with singles to right, center and left.

"I feel good," Posey said. "I'm not trying to do anything. Just trying to keep it simple and get a good pitch to hit. I know when you are going good, you are staying in the middle of the field and not trying to do too much. Sometimes you'll get a little bit more, but for the most part keep it simple.

"I like hitting here. It's similar to Colorado in that it is a really big outfield so there is a lot of space. The ball travels well, too."

Peralta led off the second inning with his third triple in two games and scored on second baseman Chris Owings' single before the Giants scored four runs in the third and three in the fourth. Peavy started the third-inning rally with a single before the top of the order took over.

Anderson gave up seven runs and 10 hits in 3 2/3 innings. He has allowed 26 earned runs in his last five starts covering 25 2/3 innings.

"In the last three or four outings, it has been some kind of slump," Anderson said. "I don't know if it is mentally of physically, but obviously I am trying to fix it because I don't want to prolong it."

NOTES: Giants C Andrew Susac suffered a sprained right thumb when he jammed it in to the bag on a triple in the fourth inning and left the game. X-rays were negative, manager Bruce Bochy said, but Susac will undergo at MRI Sunday. The Giants are expected to recall C Hector Sanchez for Sunday's game. ... San Francisco LF Nori Aoki had a bone scan in Phoenix on Saturday that showed his fractured right fibula is 80 percent healed, manager Bruce Bochy said. Aoki, who has been on the disabled list since June 24, should return in about two weeks, Bochy said. ... Arizona C Oscar Hernandez got his first major league, a double to left field, in his first major league start Saturday. Hernandez, a Rule 5 pick from Tampa Bay last winter, served as a pinch runner in his first major-league game Sunday. He spent most of the first three months on the disabled list. ... Arizona RF Yasmany Tomas was ranked among the NL leaders in batting average (.306) for the first time this season after reaching the requisite number of plate appearances -- he needed 273 and had 274. He had only a pinch-hit appearance Saturday and fell out of the rankings.
