MINNEAPOLIS -- Trevor Plouffe's leadoff home run in the bottom of the 11th inning lifted the Minnesota Twins to a 3-2 win against the Cleveland Indians at Target Field on Friday.

Plouffe's second homer of the season came on a 3-1 offering from Cleveland right-hander Bryan Shaw, who took the loss, spoiling a fantastic start from right-hander Corey Kluber.

Kluber was perfect through five innings before Minnesota finally got to him in the sixth, getting a leadoff single from right fielder Oswaldo Arcia, who advanced on a wild pitch. He scored on catcher Chris Herrmann's single to center.

The Twins loaded the bases after a pair of fielder's choices yielded no outs for Cleveland, and Herrmann scored on another wild pitch by Kluber.

Minnesota got runners on the corners with two outs in the eighth, but first baseman Joe Mauer grounded out meekly to second to end the threat.

The Twins also got the winning run into scoring position in the ninth and 10th innings, but were unable to scratch one across.

Kluber lasted eight innings and allowed two runs on three hits, fanning eight and walking one.

Blaine Boyer got the win for Minnesota after tossing 1 1/3 innings of scoreless relief.

Twins starter Mike Pelfrey was good, too, allowing one run, three hits and four walks with two strikeouts in five innings.

Cleveland appeared poised for a big inning in the fifth, starting with back-to-back singles by catcher Roberto Perez and shortstop Jose Ramirez. Perez scored on a wild pitch and Pelfrey walked center fielder Michael Bourn before a groundout moved the runners into scoring position. Pelfrey got some help from left fielder Eduardo Escobar, who threw out Ramirez at home trying to score from third after a flyout by designated hitter Michael Brantley.
