Diamondbacks 1, Indians 0 (2nd, 12): Tuffy Gosewisch delivered an RBI single with one out in the 12th inning as visiting Arizona earned a split of the doubleheader.

Alfredo Marte drew a leadoff walk from Chen-Chang Lee (0-1) and Didi Gregorius sacrificed pinch-runner Xavier Paul to second base. Gosewisch proceeded to hit a grounder up the middle that plated Paul.

Gosewisch, Ender Inciarte and Jake Lamb each recorded two hits for the Diamondbacks, who are 1-1 on their 10-game road trip. Randall Delgado (2-3) notched the win with a scoreless 11th after suffering the loss in the first game and Addison Reed worked around a two-out double in the 12th for his 28th save.

Michael Brantley and Tyler Holt registered two hits apiece for the Indians, who fell 5 1/2 games behind first-place Kansas City in the American League Central and five back in the race for the second wild card. Starter Josh Tomlin allowed four hits and struck out four over 5 1/3 frames while five relievers combined to yield two hits in 5 2/3 frames before Lee began the 12th.

Cleveland stranded runners at second and third in the fourth inning and Arizona left a man at third in the sixth before threatening again two frames later. Gosewisch led off with a double and went to third on an error but never made it home as Montero hit into a fielder's choice with the bases loaded and two out.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Delgado avoided his second loss of the day by retiring three straight batters after allowing a leadoff double by Brantley in the 11th inning. Delgado served up Zach Walters' walk-off homer in the first game of the doubleheader. ... Inciarte extended his hitting streak to 13 games, but Arizona teammate Mark Trumbo's run ended at nine contests after an 0-for-3 performance. ... Arizona starter Andrew Chafin, who is a native of Ohio, scattered three hits and walked two while striking out three over five innings in his major-league debut.
