Blue Jays 10, Rays 5: Edwin Encarnacion belted his 13th homer of the month among his three hits and Melky Cabrera went 3-for-3 with three RBIs as Toronto outslugged visiting Tampa Bay for its seventh straight victory.

Dioner Navarro had a solo homer and an RBI single, Steve Tolleson hit a solo blast and Brett Lawrie added two hits and knocked in a run for the Blue Jays. Toronto starter Drew Hutchison (4-3) was the beneficiary of his team’s offensive explosion, allowing five runs in five innings to gain the win.

Desmond Jennings (two hits, two RBIs), James Loney (two RBIs) and David DeJesus (two hits) all homered for the Rays, who saw their four-game winning streak come to an end. Tampa Bay’s Erik Bedard (2-3) gave up eight runs (seven earned) and 12 hits in four-plus innings after five straight solid starts.

Cabrera’s RBI double and a run-scoring single by Jose Bautista gave Toronto the lead in the first, but DeJesus’ solo blast to right helped the Rays tie it in the third. Navarro and Tolleson hit homers on back-to-back pitches and Cabrera singled in a run as Toronto moved back in front 5-2 in the fourth.

Matt Joyce doubled and came home on Jennings’ two-run blast in the fifth before Loney followed him by lining a 3-2 pitch over the right-center field wall for a 5-5 tie. But Lawrie’s RBI double ignited a four-run rally in the fifth that included an RBI single by Navarro, and Encarnacion’s solo blast to left led off the sixth for a 10-5 lead.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Encarnacion’s 13 homers are the most by a Toronto player in the month of May, surpassing Bautista’s 12 in 2010, and the Blue Jays have homered in nine straight games and 28 of their last 33. … Toronto has outscored opponents 41-20 during its winning streak. … Tampa Bay OF Brandon Guyer was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a fractured left thumb and RHP Alex Colome was recalled. Colome, who was reinstated Sunday after serving a 50-game suspension for violation of the league’s drug policy, yielded two runs on three hits over four innings Monday.
