Giants 4, Padres 0: Tim Lincecum recorded his second career no-hitter against San Diego and Buster Posey ripped a two-run double to highlight his four-hit performance as host San Francisco salvaged the finale of the three-game series.

After striking out 13 en route to no-hitting the Padres on July 13, 2013, Lincecum (6-5) issued a walk to Chase Headley in the second inning before retiring the final 23 batters he faced. The two-time National League Cy Young Award winner struck out six and induced Will Venable to ground out to complete his 113-pitch masterpiece.

Lincecum aided his cause with a pair of singles and two runs scored as the Giants posted just their fourth win in 15 games. Pablo Sandoval had an RBI double among his two hits and Hector Sanchez added a sacrifice fly.

San Francisco drew first blood in the second inning as Brandon Crawford belted a one-out triple off Ian Kennedy (5-9) before coming around to score on Sanchez's fly to center field. Lincecum led off the following frame with an infield single before giving the Giants a 2-0 advantage by scoring on Sandoval's double to center.

Posey slapped his fourth hit of the contest to plate Lincecum and Hunter Pence as San Francisco seized a 4-0 lead in the seventh. Kennedy exited after yielding four runs on nine hits while striking out eight in 6 1/3 innings for the Padres, who were foiled in their bid to sweep San Francisco for the first time since May 11-13, 2010.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Lincecum didn't surrender a hit through five innings against the Chicago Cubs on May 28, but exited the contest with a blister on his finger. ... Crawford's eighth triple ties him with Los Angeles Dodgers 2B Dee Gordon and Texas OF Alex Rios for the major-league lead. Crawford had eight career triples coming into the season. ... San Francisco CF Angel Pagan was placed on the disabled list after missing eight games with back stiffness. The Giants recalled INF Adam Duvall from Triple-A Fresno to fill the roster spot.
