Athletics 6, Giants 1: Sonny Gray worked seven strong innings while Coco Crisp and Derek Norris recorded two hits and an RBI apiece as host Oakland posted its season high-tying sixth straight victory.

Yoenis Cespedes, Nick Punto and Nate Freiman each drove in a run and scored another while Alberto Callaspo added an RBI for the Athletics, who have won 11 of their last 12 home games. Gray (9-3) allowed one run and six hits with one walk and eight strikeouts en route to winning his third straight decision.

Tyler Colvin went 2-for-4 with a home run for the Giants, who have lost five in a row at Oakland. Madison Bumgarner (9-7) suffered his third consecutive loss after being battered for six runs and 10 hits in seven-plus frames.

Bumgarner set down the first six hitters he faced before Jed Lowrie ignited a four-run third inning with a leadoff single. Punto delivered an RBI double two batters later and Crisp followed with a run-scoring base hit to make it 2-0.

Cespedes plated Crisp with a two-out single and raced home on Norris' base hit to cap the uprising. Colvin spoiled Gray's shutout bid by leading off the seventh with his second blast of the season, but Freiman chased Bumgarner in the eighth with an RBI double and scored on Callaspo's single to provide the final margin.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Athletics improved to 9-1 against National League opponents this season. ... San Francisco has scored a total of three runs in its last six losses. ... Cespedes will have the chance to defend his title as he was selected to represent the American League in this year's Home Run Derby on Monday during All-Star Week. He looks to become the first back-to-back winner since Ken Griffey Jr. in 1998-99.
