Mets 3, Mariners 1: Jacob deGrom struck out seven in seven strong innings to win his third consecutive start and Lucas Duda homered as New York evened the three-game series against host Seattle.

Travis d’Arnaud had an RBI triple and scored as the Mets snapped a three-game losing streak. Ruben Tejada added a run-scoring single and Jenrry Mejia recorded his 12th save as New York improved to 2-3 on a 10-game road trip.

Dustin Ackley had a run-scoring double for the Mariners, who failed to take an advantage of a superb outing from Erasmo Ramirez (1-5) while losing for the fourth time in six games. Ramirez matched his career high of 10 strikeouts and allowed two runs and five hits in seven innings but was outdueled by deGrom (4-5), who gave up one run and five hits.

Bobby Abreu led off the second inning with a single and scored on d’Arnaud’s triple that skidded past Seattle center fielder James Jones. Tejada singled to left later in the frame to give New York a 2-0 lead.

The Mariners got on the board in the fifth when Willie Bloomquist singled and scored on Ackley’s drive into the right-center field gap. Duda gave the Mets insurance with a one-out blast to right in the eighth and Jeurys Familia worked a flawless inning before Mejia finished up.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The 26-year-old deGrom allowed two runs and struck out 26 in 21 innings during his winning streak. … Seattle is recalling RHP Taijuan Walker from Triple-A Tacoma to start Wednesday’s series finale and optioned Ramirez to the same club after Tuesday's contest. … New York OFs Curtis Granderson (illness) and Chris Young (calf) sat out.
