Giants 6, Mets 4: Gregor Blanco had a season-high three RBIs and host San Francisco withstood two home runs by New York’s Curtis Granderson to complete a three-game sweep.

Tim Lincecum (5-4) allowed three runs while striking out six over six frames and four relievers bridged the gap to Sergio Romo, who recorded the final three outs for his 20th save in 22 opportunities. Blanco, Brandon Crawford and Pablo Sandoval had two hits apiece for the Giants, who won their fifth straight and moved a season-high 21 games over .500.

Granderson went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and recorded his 15th career multi-homer game for the Mets, who have lost a season-high six straight. The right fielder belted a two-out, two-run blast in the first before the Giants pulled ahead with three runs in the second on Crawford’s RBI single and Blanco’s two-run double.

The Giants extended their lead to 4-2 in the third as Hunter Pence was hit by a pitch to begin the inning and later scored on Michael Morse’s double play grounder. Mets starter Zack Wheeler (2-6), a former top prospect in the Giants organization, yielded four runs on six hits in 3 2/3 innings -- the shortest stint of his young career.

The Mets cut the deficit to 4-3 on Granderson’s two-out solo homer in the sixth, but the Giants added an insurance run in the seventh on Blanco’s RBI single and another on Brandon Hicks’ run-scoring single in the eighth. Daniel Murphy went 3-for-4 and scored with two outs in the eighth on a wild pitch from Jean Machi, who retired Chris Young with a runner on third to end the inning.

GAME NOTEBOOK: New York 3B David Wright, who was held out of the starting lineup for the first time this season, struck out as a pinch hitter with a runner on first to end the seventh inning. … Lincecum improved to 6-0 with a 1.72 ERA in his last seven starts against the Mets. … New York optioned C Travis d’Arnaud to Triple-A Las Vegas and purchased the contract of C Taylor Teagarden from the minors. D’Arnaud was demoted after hitting .180 with three hits in his last 26 at-bats.
