Giants 5, Mets 4: Michael Morse delivered a walk-off single and Hunter Pence doubled in the tying run in the ninth inning as San Francisco clipped visiting New York.

Angel Pagan struck out leading off the ninth against Mets closer Jenrry Mejia (4-3) but the ball got away and Pagan just beat out a throw that pulled Lucas Duda off the bag at first. Pence followed with a double down the line in left to score Pagan and moved up on Buster Posey’s flyout before coming in when Morse split the drawn-in outfield through the gap in right-center.

Jeremy Affeldt (2-1) picked up the win with a perfect inning of relief and Pagan drove in two runs in a three-hit night as the Giants won their fourth straight to move 20 games over .500 (41-21). Anthony Recker drove in two runs and Lucas Duda added an RBI as New York wasted 2 1/3 innings of scoreless relief from Jeurys Familia en route to its fifth straight loss.

Duda led off the second with a double and scored on Recker’s single to give the Mets a quick lead. New York put two more runs on the board in the third, with Duda pushing one across on a single before the Mets ran themselves out of a bigger inning when Recker’s bases-loaded double caused some confusion and resulted in only one run.

The Giants missed a chance on a big inning in the fifth when they loaded the bases with no outs on a pair of singles and a walk before Bartolo Colon got Posey to ground into a run-scoring double play before retiring Pablo Sandoval to keep the lead at 3-1. New York added a run on a wild pitch in the sixth and San Francisco fought back with two run on Pagan’s bases-loaded single in the sixth but could not take the lead when Familia struck out Posey with the bases full to end the threat.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Recker bounced back after going 0-for-14 in his last three starts. … Mets 3B David Wright broke out of an 0-for-14 slump with a leadoff single in the third, but struck out twice and committed an error. … Giants starter Tim Hudson was charged with three runs on a season-high nine hits in five innings, marking the first time he has allowed more than two earned runs since giving up four against Colorado on April 13. Colon was reached for three runs – one earned – and eight hits in 5 2/3 frames.
