Brewers 4, Pirates 3: Khris Davis delivered a walk-off two-run single in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift host Milwaukee to a win in the rubber game of the three-game set.

Pittsburgh closer Mark Melancon (1-2) took over in the ninth to protect a 3-2 lead but never recorded an out, as a single and two walks quickly loaded the bases. Davis followed with a broken-bat single to center to bring in Ryan Braun and Jonathan Lucroy and give the Brewers their eighth win in 10 meetings with the Pirates.

Rickie Weeks was 3-for-4 with a home run and Martin Maldonado also homered for Milwaukee. Rob Wooten (1-1) got the win with 1 1/3 scoreless innings as the third reliever after starter Yovani Gallardo, who gave up three runs in 6 1/3 frames.

Tony Sanchez answered Weeks' blast with a two-run shot in the fifth to put Pittsburgh up 2-1. Maldonado tied it on the second pitch of the home half of the inning but Gaby Sanchez gave the Pirates a 3-2 advantage with a solo homer on the first pitch of the sixth.

Wandy Rodriguez allowed two runs in five innings in his return from the disabled list for Pittsburgh and Justin Wilson and Tony Watson teamed to strike out six in three scoreless. Melancon, who had converted four straight save opportunities, was unable to get the job done as the Pirates fell to 13-53 at Miller Park since 2007.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Weeks is 16-for-27 since April 25. ... Milwaukee improved to 8-0 when Maldonado starts behind the plate. ... The Pirates continue their road trip Friday at the New York Yankees, while the Brewers visit the Chicago Cubs.
