Angels 6, Rays 0: C.J. Wilson pitched his second career shutout and Grant Green belted his first homer of the season as Los Angeles rolled over visiting Tampa Bay.

Wilson (5-3) scattered five hits and two walks and struck out seven while throwing 127 pitches for his first shutout since Sept. 6, 2011 - also against the Rays. Collin Cowgill had two hits and scored twice while Albert Pujols knocked in one of six runs over the first three innings for the Angels, who have won seven of their last nine.

Kevin Kiermaier recorded his first major-league hit with a single for Tampa Bay, which is 3-3 on its seven-game road trip. Cesar Ramos (1-3) lasted only 1 1/3 innings, yielding four runs on four hits and a walk.

Howie Kendrick’s RBI single and a sacrifice fly by Erick Aybar staked the Angels to a 2-0 lead in the first inning, and they added two more runs in each of the next two frames. Pujols’ ground-rule double brought home Cowgill after Mike Trout’s sacrifice fly in the second before Green blasted a two-run homer to center field in the third.

Chris Iannetta had a pair of hits for Los Angeles, including a two-out double just before Green’s blast. The Rays loaded the bases in the seventh with a pair of singles and a walk, but Wilson induced James Loney to ground into a double play to end the threat and later notched his seventh career complete game.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Green’s only other career home run also came against the Rays in an 11-2 victory on Sept. 2, 2013, when he went deep off RHP Josh Lueke. … Pujols’ double was the 535th of his career, passing Lou Gehrig for 34th place on the all-time list. … Rays RHP Alex Cobb (oblique) scattered three hits and struck out nine over five scoreless innings in a rehab start with Class-A Charlotte on Saturday and could return to the rotation next week.
