Giants 3, Dodgers 1:
Brandon Crawford blasted a two-run homer and Madison Bumgarner tossed eight strong innings as visiting San Francisco handed Los Angeles its third straight loss.

Bumgarner (4-3) struck out eight and walked one while allowing one run on four hits, and Sergio Romo worked a perfect ninth for his 12th save. The Giants won for the 12th time in their last 15 contests as they overcame the loss of first baseman Brandon Belt, who suffered a broken left thumb in the second inning.

Paul Maholm (1-3) cruised through the first four innings before Brandon Hicks drew a one-out walk in the fifth. Crawford followed with his fourth home run into the right-center field seats off Maholm, who threw 102 pitches and exited after yielding three runs and three hits with four walks over 5 2/3 innings.

The Giants extended their lead in the sixth on Joaquin Arias’ RBI single, and Yasiel Puig put the Dodgers on the board with a solo homer in the bottom half. After Bumgarner and Puig exchanged words when the latter rounded third, order quickly was restored, but home plate umpire Will Little ejected Dodgers manager Don Mattingly once play resumed.

Matt Kemp had two of the four hits by the Dodgers, who have scored a total of four runs during their losing streak. Crawford recorded two hits to help the Giants win for the seventh time in their last eight games at Dodger Stadium.
