Giants 3, Dodgers 1 (10): Pinch-hitter Hector Sanchez drove in the go-ahead run in the 10th inning with a sacrifice fly after Los Angeles walked the bases loaded and visiting San Francisco won the opener of a four-game series.

Brandon Belt added an insurance run with an RBI single off Jamey Wright, who replaced J.P. Howell (1-3) after Angel Pagan drew a one-out walk to begin the 10th-inning rally. Wright issued consecutive walks to Hunter Pence and Buster Posey before Sanchez’s sacrifice fly scored Pagan easily from third and helped the Giants win for the fifth time in six extra-inning games.

Santiago Casilla (1-0) struck out two over 1 1/3 scoreless innings and Sergio Romo worked around one baserunner in the 10th inning for his 11th save for San Francisco, which has won 11 of its last 14 games. Giants starter Ryan Vogelsong retired 12 of the first 13 batters he faced before Matt Kemp singled to begin the fifth and later scored on Drew Butera’s sacrifice fly.

San Francisco pulled even in the seventh when Brandon Hicks snapped a 4-for-30 slump with a solo homer off Josh Beckett, who yielded one run while throwing 107 pitches over 6 2/3 innings. Ten of Hicks’ 17 hits this season have gone for extra bases, including a career-high six home runs.

Vogelsong allowed one run on five singles over 7 1/3 innings and has yielded two earned runs over his last three starts covering 20 1/3 innings. Hanley Ramirez and Adrian Gonzalez were a combined 0-for-8 for Los Angeles, which has been outscored in the ninth inning and later by a margin of 34-12.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Dodgers 3B Juan Uribe left the game after eight innings with mild left hamstring soreness. … The Giants announced that RHP Matt Cain, who missed his last two starts with an injured right index finger, has been cleared to start Saturday’s game. … Dodgers OF Carl Crawford singled in the seventh inning and is 11-for-20 during his six-game hitting streak.
