Astros 7, Mariners 2: Matt Dominguez homered and had three RBIs as visiting Houston defeated Felix Hernandez and Seattle to halt a seven-game losing streak.

Dominguez smacked a two-run shot in the fifth and doubled off the left-field wall in the sixth as the Astros handed the Mariners their seventh straight defeat. Dallas Keuchel (2-1) struck out eight and allowed two runs and six hits in six innings.

Hernandez (3-1) gave up six runs – only two were earned – and seven hits in seven innings. Hernandez walked one and struck out four to take over the major-league lead with 43.

Dominguez broke a scoreless tie with his two-run shot to left in the fifth and Seattle tied the score in the bottom of the inning on Abraham Almonte’s two-run double inside the first-base line. Houston took advantage of an error by Mariners third baseman Kyle Seager in the sixth to post four more runs on the board thanks to Jason Castro’s sacrifice fly, Marc Krauss’ single to right, Alex Presley’s triple to right-center field and Dominguez’s double.

Krauss blasted a homer to right in the eighth off Tom Wilhelmsen to make it 7-2. Chad Qualls, Matt Albers and Josh Fields each pitched an inning of scoreless relief for the Astros, who struck out 14 Seattle hitters.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Presley was 3-for-4 and scored twice to raise his average to .200. … Seattle has been outscored 17-0 in the eighth inning this season. … The Astros placed RHP Scott Feldman (biceps) on the 15-day disabled list and RHP Collin McHugh will be recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City to start Tuesday in Feldman’s rotation spot.
