Rockies 12, Rangers 1: Carlos Gonzalez went 5-for-5 with three RBIs and red-hot Troy Tulowitzki was 3-for-4 to raise his major league-leading average to .421 as host Colorado won for the eighth time in its last 10 games.

Nolan Arenado extended his hitting streak to 26 games with a double in his final at-bat that landed on the left-field foul line and had two RBIs for the Rockies, who had 21 hits - tops in the majors this season. Charlie Blackmon homered and drove in two and Juan Nicasio (4-1) allowed one run, two hits and five walks in five innings.

Drew Stubbs homered among his three hits, while Blackmon, Justin Morneau (RBI), Jordan Pacheco (RBI) and Brandon Barnes had two hits apiece for Colorado. Robbie Ross (1-3) yielded six earned runs for the second straight start while allowing 12 hits in 5 1/3 innings as Texas lost for the seventh time in its last nine games.

Tulowitzki - 31-for-51 at home - delivered an RBI double in the six-run sixth, when Colorado sent 12 men to the plate with consecutive two-out run-scoring singles by Morneau, Charlie Culberson and Pacheco coming in a frame that took 38 minutes to complete. Stubbs went deep to center to lead off the seventh to make it 11-1.

Adrian Beltre drove Nicasio's 3-1 pitch over the wall in center in the first before Blackmon answered when he led off the bottom half by taking Ross' 0-1 offering out to right-center. Arenado's sacrifice fly came later in the first while Gonzalez delivered run-scoring singles in the third, fifth and sixth.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Colorado has scored 10 or more runs in seven of its 35 games this season, and has a major league-best plus-48 run differential while improving to 13-5 at Coors Field, where it averages 7.7 runs. ... Rangers CF Shin-Soo Choo, who went 2-for-3 with a walk and has reached base at least three times in five straight games, is hitting .370 - second in the majors to Tulowitzki. ... Texas 1B Mitch Moreland pitched a perfect eighth inning while hitting 95 miles per hour on the radar gun. ... Gonzalez recorded his third career three-hit game and raised his average 29 points to .279.
