Giants 12, Rockies 10 (11): Hector Sanchez belted his second home run of the game, a tiebreaking grand slam in the top of the 11th inning, to finish with five RBIs as visiting San Francisco prevailed in a slugfest to avoid a three-game sweep.

Michael Morse swatted a pair of massive home runs and had four RBIs, Brandon Belt added a two-run blast and Brandon Hicks (3-for-5) added a solo shot for the Giants, who had scored a total of 10 runs in dropping five of their previous six games. Jean Machi (4-0) got the final out in the 10th before closer Sergio Romo locked up the victory despite surrendering a two-run homer to Justin Morneau.

Troy Tulowitzki belted a two-run homer among his three hits and knocked in three runs while Charlie Blackmon homered, scored four runs and drove in three for the Rockies, who lost for only the second time in seven games. Chad Bettis (0-1) served up the grand slam to take the loss for Colorado, which got three hits from DJ LeMahieu.

Tulowitzki clubbed a two-run homer in the first and capped a three-run second with an RBI single as the Rockies built an early 5-1 lead. Morse followed Hicks' solo shot with his second homer of the game, a three-run blast in the third to knot it at 5-5, but Blackmon put Colorado back on top in the fourth with a solo homer - his fourth in three games.

Belt gave San Francisco its first lead in the seventh when he swatted a two-run shot off reliever Rex Brothers for his seventh of the year, tying Arizona's Mark Trumbo for the National League lead. After Nolan Arenado tied with with an RBI double, Sanchez went deep in the eighth before Blackmon's third RBI knotted it at 8-8 in the bottom of the frame.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Morse became the third player since 2006 (Mike Napoli, Edwin Encarnacion) to hit two homers measuring at least 450 feet in the same game. His five blasts also match the combined total by all San Francisco left fielders in 2013. ... Arenado went 1-for-6 to extend his hitting streak to a career-high 14 games while Morneau ran his streak to eight games while also hitting safely in all 12 home contests. ... Giants manager Bruce Bochy was ejected in the fourth inning for arguing balls and strikes. ... Colorado opens a six-game road trip at the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday while the Giants open a six-game homestand against Cleveland on Friday.
