Rockies 8, Giants 2: Nolan Arenado and Wilin Rosario homered in a four-run first inning and red-hot Charlie Blackmon hit two solo shots for his first career multi-homer game as host Colorado won for the fourth time in its last five games.

Corey Dickerson homered and fell a triple shy of the cycle while Rosario (two runs) and Arenado had two hits apiece for the Rockies, who hit a season-high five homers to help Jorge De La Rosa (1-3) win his first game of the season. The left-hander yielded one run, five hits and three walks while striking out five in five innings.

Ryan Vogelsong (0-1) yielded five runs, six hits and three walks in 1 1/3 innings - raising his ERA to 7.71 - as the Giants scored three or fewer runs for the sixth time in their last seven games. Brandon Belt and Hunter Pence had two hits apiece for San Francisco, with Pence raising his average to .197.

The last seven encounters between the Giants and Rockies were one-run games with San Francisco winning four, but Colorado made an eighth unlikely by taking a 7-1 lead after three innings. Arenado extended his hitting streak to 12 games with a one-out solo blast before Rosario hit a three-run shot four batters later.

Blackmon, who is hitting .411, took Vogelsong deep to right leading off the second and homered to right with two out in the eighth against Juan Gutierrez. Dickerson connected off Yusmeiro Petit in the third after Rosario started the frame with a single while Tommy Kahnle relieved De La Rosa and struck out five in two innings.
